Get Paid Directly From Mero.
Connect your own Stripe account once, and every invoice and estimate deposit can be paid online. Stripe processes the payment; Mero keeps the invoice, the customer and your records in step with it.
From Invoice To Paid, In Five Steps
You never leave Mero to collect a payment, and you never re-enter one by hand.
- Create the invoice in Mero
- Send it: the email carries a secure link to pay
- Your customer pays by card or US bank account through Stripe
- The invoice shows as paid in Mero the moment Stripe confirms it
- The customer's history, your balances and your profit update with it
Card And Bank Payments
Customers pay by card or by US bank account (ACH), the methods Stripe offers for your account. A large invoice can be paid in parts, and each part is recorded against it.
Deposits On Custom Work
An estimate can ask for a deposit before work begins. The customer pays it from the estimate's own link, and when the finished piece is invoiced the deposit is applied to the balance without anyone re-entering it.
Refunds, Disputes And Fees, On The Record
Refunds and disputes are handled in Stripe's own screens, shown inside Mero, and each one is recorded against the invoice it belongs to. Stripe's processing fee is recorded when it arrives, so what you were paid and what you kept are both visible.
- An email when you are paid, and when a payout is on its way
- Anything a person should look at — a dispute, a failed refund — waits in a review list
Card Details Never Touch Mero
Your customer enters their card or bank details on Stripe, not on Mero, and Mero never sees or stores them. Each pay link is a long, unguessable address that opens one invoice and can only start a payment, never record one.
A payment lands on the invoice it pays, the invoice's customer and your profit at the same moment. Because the pieces on that invoice already left inventory when it was sent, paid, owed and in stock never disagree.
Common Questions.
- Is Mero the payment processor?
- No. Stripe processes every payment, through a Stripe account you connect to Mero. Payouts go from Stripe to your bank.
- What does it cost to take payments?
- Stripe charges its standard processing fees for each payment, which vary by payment method; see Stripe's pricing for current rates. Mero adds no fee of its own on top, and payment fees are separate from your Mero subscription.
- Which payment methods can my customers use?
- Cards and US bank accounts (ACH), as Stripe offers them for your account.
- Which countries are supported?
- Online payments are available to businesses in the United States today. Businesses elsewhere can still record payments by hand.
- Do I need Square or another payment system?
- No. Payments are built into Mero through Stripe. You only need a Stripe account, which you can create while connecting.
