Before You Switch

Six Questions To Ask Any Jewelry Software Vendor.

What does it cost, all in?
Ask for the price per user, per location and per module, and whether onboarding, data migration and payments are extra.
Can I start without a demo?
If the only way in is a sales call, that is a cost in time before you have seen the product work.
Who moves my data, and can I undo it?
Find out whether you can import your own spreadsheets, and what happens when an import gets something wrong.
Does it know jewelry?
Metal, karat, gross and net weight, stones, certificates and memo stock should be fields, not notes in a generic catalog.
How do customers pay?
Check whether invoices can be paid online, which processor is behind it, and whether payments update the invoice on their own.
Who can see cost?
A sales associate should be able to sell a piece without seeing what it cost. Ask where that rule is enforced.

What Mero Does Not Do Yet.

If one of these is essential to you today, Mero may not be the right fit yet. Each is on the roadmap.

  • An in-store point of sale (POS) — Mero runs invoicing and online payments today
  • Manufacturing and work orders
  • Stock across several locations
  • A full general ledger — Mero records sales, payments and profit, not your books
  • Online payments outside the United States
FAQ

Comparison Questions.

Is Mero cheaper than traditional jewelry software?
Mero is $99 a month or $999 a year with unlimited inventory and users. Traditional jewelry software is often priced on request, by user or by tier, so the difference varies by vendor and business.
Can I try Mero without talking to sales?
Yes. Create an account and start; your first month is free.
Does Mero replace my in-store point of sale?
Not today. Mero runs inventory, purchasing, invoicing, online payments and profit; an in-store point of sale is on the roadmap.
Can I move my data from my current system?
Yes. Import from Excel or CSV, or migrate from Shopify, Square, QuickBooks or Zoho, with a preview before anything is written and undo afterwards.
